Have to admit - a bit of a slow burn on this one. We had just come from another 5* hotel, and when we arrived it was getting dark, it was raining, and the room was (relatively) quite sparse, and just a bit tired. However, once we re-calibrated from a place that cost (literally) twice as much, it got better! The location can't be faulted, and having the pool to soothe tired walking legs was a real bonus. Pool was warm, but not too warm, and the spa bit looked well done too, although we didn't use that bit, or the gym. Very good breakfast, and evening meals - and when we ordered 'off piste' - for example, adding or removing items from the set cooked food, this was no problem. It appears to be well used by locals as well as visitors for food. Staff are friendly, and very happy to accommodate.
