A beautiful, old building, comfortable rooms, great value for the money. We extended our stay another 5 nights. The location is handy to the square, lots of restaurants and bars.

Good location, near the central park; walkable from the bus station (maybe 12 blocks). Hotel exterior is not striking. Once inside, the lobby and central interior areas (up and downstairs) are very attractive, colonial-style. However the hotel is sprawling, many rooms are down far-off less-attractive hallways. I spent a night in one room that was not in good condition, then looked at several others and changed to one that was better. Water pressure and hot water were fine. The pool looked a good size, and was in a nice area; unfortunately the weather was cool so I didn´t go in. All staff members were pleasant and helpful. The room I ended up with had both AC and a ceiling fan. Hot and cold drinking water provided.
