Fantastic location, in downtown, 5 mins from the main square, yet, relatively quiet. Parking with guardian. Awesome staff, always smiling and helpful. Nice, historic building. Swimming pool in the building. Access to restaurant from the hotel lobby. Live music in the restaurant (but not loud, does not disturb guests).

We stayed at Casa del Balam for two weeks. The first week we stayed in the master suite which had a great patio overlooking the pool. We moved to a king suite for the second week. The hotel is close to town center, restaurants and shopping. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Lovely old hotel, the staff is really friendly and the building is very charming. Location can't be better. The only downside is the disuse of the hotel. With a little or revamp the hotel would be back to 4-5 stars

The location to eateries and attractions is perfect. The staff were welcoming and somehow remembered ones name whenever one came or went. Amazing! The hotel has a wonderful number of public spaces such as atrium, pool, lounge areas that are open on main floor but are also like private nooks to relax in without being in the face of other residents..
