the original structure and design of the house is very beautiful in a rustic & traditional way. lovely village and very welcoming owner who very kindly and patiently accomodated our arrival and check-out times to meet our needs and also helping us with luggage when greeting and on departure. Additionaly, we forgot an item at the house and the owner offered to meet us in Rethymno to return it to us. Very kind! The house is a great match for fmailies who want their own place in a traditional cosy village. Including a pool. Great for children. The inside of the house was extremely clean. The house certainly has a "real" feel to it.

Stavros communication throughout was impeccable. Prior to arrival, on arriving, during and on leaving he was available and responded promptly. We arrived so late, following an 8hr delay in England, but still he was more than accommodating and arranged for us to be met and shown in to the villa by a family member. He then came to introduce himself the next day and came to say goodbye when we left. We didn't need to do so, but I knew I could message him at any point with any question/queries and he would be quick to answer - great, kind and friendly host! The villa itself was better than expected and that the photos show. The quality and cleanliness made this villa 5*. It was comfortable, high spec, sunshine on the pool throughout the day, wonderful little terrace from the main bedroom to chill out on or find shade in the mornings/evening. Little thoughtful touches too from the host, coming to clean the pool the next day after a little windy day to filling our fridge with necessities and providing home made gifts on arrival. Location is remote but the village does have everything and more. A wonderful taverna/restaurant 500m from the front door. Amazing food and great wine. A supermarket with all that you could require. A car probably is a necessity though as there is just so much to explore in Crete and it is a 1.5hr drive from the airport. Oh and Stavros has kindly got many wonderful personal recommendations on places to visit from restaurants, beaches and historical places of interest. Very useful.

Set in a lovely village with shops, taverna and small supermarket. Stavros was a fabulous host, giving us information on anything we needed. There was enough supplies provided to get us started before we could get to the supermarket.
