The apartment was functional for what we needed. Great location, beds are super comfortable as were the pillows. The water pressure from the showers was just incredible, exactly what you need after exploring the amazing city Melbourne is. The cleaners sent through their photos after I queried a few issues as I felt it shouldn’t be advertised as “Luxurious” , the photos matched up with the photos I took which consisted of stains on carpets, furniture, blinds and walks. The balcony appears to be used as storage for cleaning utensils which are all shoved in the corner(cleaners did not have a photo of the balcony) so you won’t be enjoying the nice space the balcony has potential for. The smell once you walk out of the lift is horrendous due to the rubbish shoot and currently renovations are happening on many levels and apartments due to a water leak which an onsite worker filled us in with the details. We arrived with the expectation of enjoying a lovely stay in what was described as a "luxury inner-city unit." Unfortunately, the only accurate part of that description is its inner-city location—luxury was nowhere to be found. Dust covered multiple surfaces, marks lined the walls, and a pile of cleaning supplies and broken items had been shoved into a corner, creating an overall impression of neglect. The windows didn’t function properly, and the stained couches left much to be desired—not to mention raised some uncomfortable questions. The smoke alarms were covered with plastic shower caps and started glitching at 4am on our night, contacted the people and they stated these smoke detectors were fixed (batteries) at the beginning of March. We needed to take off the plastic and take out the batteries due to the annoying beeps. The kitchen sink featured a plastic shark head placed over the spout, which initially seemed like a quirky decoration.
