The fine print
According to Colombian tax laws, foreign visitors and Colombian citizens residing abroad are exempt from the 19% VAT upon receiving entry stamp to Colombia which confirms your stay in the country for up to ninety (90) calendar days and has the PT stamp or the current temporary visa type "V". This exemption applies for accommodation only, does not include other services and the invoice is generated in the name of the passport and reservation holder.The permit must be presented upon arrival where the original passport must be provided and a copy of the data sheet and the stamp sheet will be taken. Guests are reminded to request a stamp from immigration upon arrival even if they enter through biometrics.Airport transfer service is available upon request.For reservations of three or more rooms, additional policies and charges will apply.To ensure the safety and quality of the experience for all guests, visitors must register during the check-in process.If the visitors are not present during check-in, their personal information must be provided for pre-registration. Failure to register this information on time will result in a non-refundable charge.In compliance with Colombian Law 2068 of 2020, visitors may only register with official identification: ID card for Colombian nationals and passport for foreign visitors. Each visitor must sign the hotel registration form. It is important to inform the reception when a visitor leaves the hotel; otherwise, the charge for their stay will be applied for the remaining nights, and refunds will not be processed.Non-registered visitors during check-in will be charged USD 99 or its equivalent in Colombian pesos according to the hotel's current exchange rate. This value must be paid before accessing the room and is charged per person, per day.Guests must present a valid ID and credit card upon check-in.If a credit card is not available, a cash deposit of $300,000 COP per night or $100 USD will be required.Cash deposits will be returned upon check-out.In the event of an early departure, the property will charge you the full amount for your stay.

I love the decor and vibe when you enter this beautiful hotel. The rooms are spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable. Great view from the bedroom window over Medellin. Breakfast is delicious with many options and the servicing staff at breakfast are very friendly and attentive. I found all of the staff I spoke to at this hotel polite and helpful. I would keep on returning to this hotel in Medellin if I had the choice.

I forgot a couple of glasses and my Phone charger, and they save and give it to me days after checkout when I called asking for it, a very honest staff, of course I will be back and stay here on my next trip!

My room was spacious and clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. All the front desk staff I encountered were very helpful and thankfully, due to my awful Spanish, they spoke very good English. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Across the road from the hotel there is a Starbucks and a great waffle and pancake place that I chose to eat at in the evenings ( savoury and sweet food). The pool area was nice although by the time I got back in the afternoon after exploring the city the sun was blocked out by the tall buildings surrounding it so I didn’t get to enjoy it as much as I would have liked .
