We were actually moved to their other hotel Maison D'ax. An unfortunate situ due to the cold weather and cracked pipes in Matera. management were superb.. They wanted to make everything right by moving us to the the other accom nearby. We were spoiled with an upgrade to a boutique suite. The location of both their accommodations is PERFECT, brilliant views and everything is close by. Truly. Easy to park, for free, 12 minutes walk from accom.. Breakfast was ample, great croissants and the coffee as good as barista made!

The hotel exceeded our expectations, although we had high expectations! Right in the middle of the old town, in a traditional but modern room, with warmth, with an exceptional bed, with a hot shower, with exemplary cleanliness and with a small terrace overlooking the Saxons of Matera! The best view in the city! Words are too few to describe this gem! There is a mini fridge in the room, with water, tea, free of charge, with wine for a fee! Breakfast was served in a cave, buffet breakfast, with coffee of all kinds, very good, with salty and sweet products, with fruit, yogurts, much richer than a regular Italian breakfast! Friendly staff, lots of peace and quiet, and Sasi is a gem, getting lost in the old streets, having wonderful views, being able to hike, and having a wonderful time, it's a dream lived here on Earth!

The room is a renovated cave dwelling with the comforts of modern life. Good breakfast selection in huge cave underneath the accomodation level. Well positioned in the Sassi old area, parked for free in streets a kil away
