In a perfect location for exploring Matera and has stunning views from the terrace. The hotel was as good as it looked in the photos, and my room was spacious and comfortable. Super choice on offer for breakfast. The staff were amazing too, so attentive and helpful. I’d come back again 😊

Excellent hotel. Lovely room with private spa. Also the hotel prepared a cake for our special occasion. Hotel staff were so kind and helpful. Really made the difference. We were lucky as that weekend we enjoyed a special Drone Light show right infront of the terrace! As Matera became Capital of the Mediterranean that weekend. Superb. Hotel is in a magical surrounding.

The hotel is actually a palazzo and is absolutely gorgeous - the lower levels are dug into a cave and you can still see the underground cisterns used for storing water in the past. The room was super spacious but cozy, everything was pristine clean and you have all the facilities you might need for a perfect stay. The food was amazing - the breakfast options are plentiful and it all tastes heavenly. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant, which was perfect (highly recommend the beef steak). The location needs no comment - the hotel is in the heart of Matera, the view is breathtaking and you can easily explore the historical part on foot. Let’s not forget the staff - everyone was super friendly and helpful, they recommended places to go, provided us with a map with a route for our walk around the city, places for lunch, etc. All in all it was the perfect stay for our trip to Matera.
