Amazing, unique hotel in a wonderful location! The views from the balcony were beautiful. The bed was comfortable and the hot tub was a brilliant addition.

Matera is a very special place to visit and one we will remember for a long time. I booked this hotel for my partners 60th birthday and it did not disappoint. The location was perfect with an amazing view from our private terrace. The room itself was very unique, we booked the split level room with jacuzzi, which was welcome after exploring all day. It is all beautifully and sympathetically designed and decorated for the “cave” setting. Little extra touches made everything extra special and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful showing us route options on the map and local area. Breakfast had a nice mixture of sweet and savoury options. Fruits, cakes, bread and juices, continental style with a couple of warm options, eggs etc. We wouldn’t have needed any more and it was all tasty. We parked nearby in the recommended car park and had pre arranged some help with our bags which I’m glad we did. It is manageable and worth the cobbled walk if you are able. We had large bags due to travel so the extra hands were welcome. Anyone with limited mobility would need to consider their location anywhere in Matera very carefully to ensure it’s accessible to them as some would struggle. Trainers / flats with grib are a must!! Highly recommend this hotel and would book again!
