The location was perfect. It was spotless clean. Great facilities and comfy bed. Who knew sleeping in a cave would be so much fun!!! Highly recommend it for a stay in Matera.

In the Sassi corveose, just off the Main Street where the restaurants can be found. Michele’s little video showed us how to find the accommodation and operate the key lock. Instructions on parking were useful (25 euros for two nights) in Matera. We walked in, about 15 minutes downhill to The Loft and close to get a taxi(Michele arragened) up the hill back to the car park. A guided tour is helpful in explaining what you are looking at in Matera. One or two nights are essential as Matera is magical in the dark when lights appear at the windows. Having milk in the fridge and bathroom essentials was a nice touch.

Idris loft provides the perfect location for a trip to Matera. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and stylish with everything you need (as well as some you don't). Check-in was easy, and Michele was very informative. If you're looking for the best place to stay in Matera, congratulations, you've found it!
