Location is prefect, convenient with easy parking ( €10 per night). Manuela, the owner is wonderful, friendly and helpful. She gave alot of guidance to walk around at Sassi. The room are charm unique and clean. . Breakfast is great.

A beautiful property, a short walk to all the sights with amazing views across the valley from our room. Very clean and comfortable with a warm welcome from the owner. Be aware she speaks little english but makes excellent use of google translate, so we reciprocated. A very generous Italian breakfast was provided with lovely fresh ingredients.

Casastella was cute and accommodating for our stay. It was a close walk into the city and reasonably priced. The free breakfast was excellent and the host was super welcoming, generous and offered suggestions about what to do while in Matera. It was quiet and the location while not directly in the centre, was a nice short walk to the touristy areas.

Everything was exceptional! First of all, the location is perfect: very easy to access by car and a great starting point for exploring Matera on foot. The host is wonderful: very friendly and hospitable. The accommodation is impeccable, and the attention to detail is incredible. Breakfast was very tasty and served in a very pleasant atmosphere. What more can I say — we loved everything, and I believe it’s an honor for tourists to have access to such a place and to enjoy such an authentic experience.
