The location was great. Right next to the old city and near everything. The layout of the apartment with two bathrooms was great. Free parking right at our doorstep was great. The host welcomed us at arrival and his English was excellent.

1. Location. Casa Santo Stefano couldn't be better situated. Just a brief walk away from the historic town center and the iconic Sassi, it offered us the luxury of being in the heart of Matera's charm. 2. Value for Money- And I mean it. The price for what we got, especially considering the prime location and the high season, was unbeatable. 3.The presence of two bathrooms- was a true convenience, ensuring that everyone had their space and eliminating any hassle during peak hours. 4. The beds - are incredibly comfortable, providing the perfect haven for a restful night's sleep after exploring the charming streets of Matera. 5. The air conditioning - it was a saving grace, especially during the warm days, making sure that the indoors remained as inviting as the outdoors. 6. The fully equipped kitchen - this was a highlight in itself. With an espresso machine stocked with coffee pods, I started each morning with a cup of delicious coffee that set the tone for the day ahead. The attention to detail was evident, and it was clear that every need had been considered - from the drinkable water that allowed us to easily fill our bottles and pop them into the fridge to the thoughtful provision of ice cubes in the freezer. Had all we needed to cook some meals at home sometimes. 7. The cleanliness and freshness of Casa Santo Stefano were truly impressive. The immaculate condition of the house added to the overall experience, making it feel like a home away from home. Alessandro, the host, truly left no stone unturned when it came to our comfort. Plus his local insights were invaluable; he shared the best places to dine, must-visit spots, and even recommended a tour guide (Giulio) who turned out to be the highlight of our trip.
