The hotel is perfectly located by the main square so easy distance to the FAL train station and accessible by taxis ;don’t miss the visit to the Crypt of the Original Sin). My room was huge with 2 balconies, which I couldn’t use due to the weather. The breakfast is good with many options. Overall a great stay.

Excellent location for visiting the Sassi. In the centre of the old town but still accessible for taxi drop off and also close to the station. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room. The decor was a very Italian mix of traditional and modern.

The hotel is in the historical centre of Matera (but not in the Sassi, so it can be easily reached by anyone). Cleanliness was impeccable, with daily change of towels. I traveled for work, so having wifi access was a necessity; in the room I was originally assigned, wifi signal was essentially null (old building, heavy walls). However, the personnel acted immediately, trying to restore the service and when it did not work, they were able to move me to a better room, thanks to a last minute cancellation. I appreciated this very much
