Our stay at Sassocave in Matera was fantastic! The location is perfect, right in the heart of the Sassi, with restaurants just outside the door. Our room was beautifully designed, blending the unique cave style with modern touches, and it was spotlessly clean, making the experience truly special. Communication with the hostess was excellent—she was kind, responsive, and very welcoming throughout our stay. The breakfast was a great start our day and the secured parking nearby made it especially convenient for those traveling by car. Highly recommended!

Great communication with owners and great location in the center of Matera. What is more it is also close to the parking garages if you are looking for such a option.

The room was stunning, especially with lights dimmed and blue wall lights on. Super clean, and large. Cecilia was so lovely and available to help at any point. Location was about 5 mins from the main squares, but very central. About 10 mins walk from the car park too.

It was in a fabulous location in the old town of Matera and walking distance to all the attractions . The room was compact and has everything we needed. The host Cecelia was amazing, she was responsive accomodating and gave great recommendations. Breakfast was delicious with fresh pastries each day which we ate on a lovely outdoor terrace.
