Everything. The swimming pool area is just amazing. It is big enough and quiet at the same time. Food & drink options are very good. I was staying at a sea view room and … WOW. The staff was the highlight of my stay, especially the crew at the beach bar.

For a relaxing trip, away from more populated areas in Zanzibar, it was perfect. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the two pools were of different atmospheres and great. Beach access was only a few steps. The hotel offered several free activities (reef walk, village tour, a cooking class, and were able to book with preferred tour guides on other activities (snorkeling/diving, Jozani forest, etc) that you can get a bit cheaper from the countless offers from the beach providers, but the convenience of a single point of booking as well as the costs going onto the room bill (negating the need for scads of cash) were worth it, in our mind. The restaurant and beach bar are good quality of food and service, and there are several local restaurants very close if you want to step out of the resort (we did so a number of times for diversity, new experiences, and lower cost, albeit with a more rustic feel than the upscale restaurant at Marafiki).

I absolutely loved my stay here! I’ve been to Zanzibar on multiple occasions but never had such a pleasant experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were so warm and friendly, they really made me feel at home. My room was very comfortable, super clean, and had the most amazing ocean view. Waking up and seeing the water every morning was just perfect. The food was definitely a highlight, everything was fresh and tasty, and I especially loved the seafood!! I also really liked how close to the ocean I was, there are access points to the beach at every corner of the hotel, I went for a swim almost every morning and it was so absolutely incredible. It was such a relaxing and enjoyable experience all in all. I left feeling completely refreshed and I would definitely come back again!
