Excellent spot. We came for the Halfing Marathon 2026 and ended up moving this spot. It's very comfy and has everything to make you feel right at home. Hosts were super responsive and helpful too.

We had the whole same-level property to ourselves which was a treat. Everything was very clean and tidy. Lovely views onto the adjoining golf course and towards the distant hills. Instructions were very clear. We didn’t take advantage of the offer to cook and use anything in the kitchen cupboards. It was a short 10 minute drive into the Matamata centre. We stayed so we could visit Hobbiton, which was about an easy 30 min drive away.
