Please note that the half-board option is a set menu which consists of a starter, a main and a dessert. Hotels position is very good, on the seafront, across the bay, lots of shops and restaurants in the immediate vicinity, big parking area within 5 minutes walking. Breakfast was ok, usual hotel stuff. Very good that it's pet friendly!

Hotel Calypso is a lovely hotel on the board walk of Marsalforn, settled amongst a pletherer of restaurants and cafes. The rooms were clean and suitable for a group of 4 friends travelling together, although the beds were not the best for us. Air Con worked well and bathroom was good, although the shower was over a bath so not always suitable for all travellers. The breakfast was included in the tarriff and a good variety for everyone including hot food, cereal, fresh fruits and yoghurts and yummy pasteries and accomodating for a coeliac traveller. Coffee machine was not the best so if you're choosy about your coffee, consider your options. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was a bother. Pool area large, sun lounges and umberella available, pool was great to spend time around, although the waterfront, including a clean and not overpopulated sandy beach is a five minute walk from the hotel door - beach towels are provided by the hotel to be taken to the beach and other towels are provided for both in the room and for the pool area. Parking was a 7 minute walk from the hotel, plenty of cafes and restaurants offering a variety of meals within minutes, great Thai place Thaibo, is definately worth a try as well. Bus stop is a two minute walk from hotel which will take you into Victoria or to Mgarr (ferry), drop off is about a 7 minute walk from the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Hotel Calypso and would recommend to anyone.
