Location is amazing, one small side street away from the main hustle and bustle of the Medhina. Everything is walkable. On the first day we were able to find local vendors with nuts, dates, fresh fruits, turkey sausage and chicken mince filled spiced baps for lunch. Loads of authentic looking local shops with local produce. There is a cafe really close (2min walk) with fresh coffee and cakes from 10am till late. 20 min walk to the large square and access to night food market. We found access to food and drink easy and cheap to find with short 5-15min walks to amenities like water soft drinks etc. The medina is well cared for and each room was prepared and clean with its own private bathroom. The terrace has two higher smaller roof areas, one with better sun in the morning and the other is good for a sunset (you need to be more careful with the stairs to this roof top area. Massages were moroccan style, there was use of a good quality argon oil, everyone enjoyed these (we had 10 between 5 guests) very good value especially when more than 6 are ordered for in advance. They were relaxing, one of the therapists was better at a deeper tissue massage. Security is very good, the whole apartment is covered by continuous camera recording in all common areas entrances and exits (bedrooms excluded). With the access to the Medhina (raw ingredients) and the kitchen if you enjoyed cooking you could make your own food. There is one 2 person dipping pool on the roof which would be great to use in 30+deg heat. Sonia is very nice, relaxed and cared for the medhina and was extremely hospitable organising taxi's efficiently. She is better with french and arabic, but able to understand some english. Carole the host is able to translate most things in advance. The advance planning and preparation from carol made the transition from the airport to the Riad seamless and we had people to take our bags from the short 5min walk from the carpark to the property.
