Meriam “Lovely riad in the middle of the medina”

The Riad was beautiful and yet felt like home at the same time. Communication was great and our hosts even welcomed us with Moroccan mint tea and some biscuits on our first night. They were friendly, very kind and generous throughout. The location was amazing, right in the middle of the medina and close to some local attractions, but quiet enough that you still feel you are in a peaceful oasis. Our children also enjoyed the dipping pool especially in the middle of a hot day. The adjoining room for the little ones was really handy as we could still have our own privacy whilst being able to look after them. Finally, there are plenty of food options just steps from the riad, you will never go hungry even at 1:00am. We felt safe in this riad and would definitely recommend it to anyone with a family visiting Marrakesh.

The hotel was authentic and traditional as what was expected. We stayed right in the middle of the souk market, the heart of Marrakesh which was very convenient to get around. To add, we were a group of girls on a five day short break in Marrakesh. We felt safe where we stayed. Another plus was we had a very warm welcome from Raid Bonheur, the staff goes out there way to make sure you had a pleasant stay with them. Breakfast was cooked fresh daily, including fresh squeezed orange juices. The room we stay in was on the top floor and so we had access to a private roof space/sun lounge. Our room was clean and well maintained, with fresh large size towels, and good working air con. We had a big size double bed however the single bed was smaller so fits a child or a slim person. The only downside was the beds sleeps hard but then we are used to sleeping on soft mattresses at home so it’s based on personal preferences. The only thing I would say is that the wardrobe could do with an upgrade/maintenance as it was flimsy and wobbly.

Very friendly staff, beautiful riad, right in the middle of the heart of Marrakesh. Extra shoutout for the pool that let us chill after long walking days under the Moroccan sun.
