We really enjoyed our stay at Cabana Starka & Jacuzzi. house was very atmospheric and cozy, with hot water in the shower and a small heater, which was a big plus because the nights were quite cold during our stay. The area is very beautiful and strategically located, about an hour's drive from Guadape and about an hour from Medellin. The nearby town of Marilina has many restaurants, banks, and an ATM where you can withdraw cash. The town itself was charming, offering a glimpse of life in the real Colombia. We rented a car; I'm not sure it would have been easy to get there by public transportation. Martina was very helpful. On our first day (because our plane was delayed significantly and we landed in the middle of the night), she offered us breakfast. She also provided many tips, and drinks were available at the house for a small fee. Martina, however, proved most helpful when it turned out my husband had forgotten his jacket. Despite problems with the post office, she managed to arrange the delivery and didn't charge anything in return. The jacuzzi was also a nice bonus. If we ever visit the area again, we'd happily stay there again.
