The host was very kind and welcoming, sharing fruit with us from the garden, a bottle of wine that her husband had brewed and even gave us a lift to the train station when we were leaving. The location is good - close to the sea, a gelateria and a bakery. From Massa it's easy enough to visit other, more historic towns too.

This location has 2 small apartments next to each other sharing the yard with the owners. The location is awesome, far enough from the busy streets but also very close to the beach and restaurants. The owners Lucilla & Paolo are amazing and they know how to treat their guests. Although my Italian is as rudimentary as it gets we had really nice conversations drinking a delicious wine from their own production. The apartment has good space and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. There is also a kitchen which is fully equipped to be used. Bed is good and also the shower cabin has decent space. The nicest touch is the terrace where you can sit and enjoy a good pizza & a bottle of wine in the evening. Lucilla did an amazing job in decorating the apartments, we liked her philosophy a lot. Just ask her :). One last thing, they have a lot of cats but they are very respectful with the guests and if you want to get friendly they will reciprocate :))) We know for sure where our next stay will be when we are around. Clean, quiet, adequately equipped accommodation. Very nice hosts. You can buy excellent wine from them.
