Wow, what's not to like! This was a little gem on the island of Marretimo, made all the more special by the hospitality of Elio (the father of Guilia and Pietro). A wonderful man whose kindness knows no bounds. He welcomed us with open arms, gave us a small tour of the surroundings, at our request booked us onto a fantastic boat ride (with the most beautiful, cute, small boat in the bay), and made sure that we were always comfortable. He spoke little English, and we spoke little Italian, but we made it work. The apartment itself is full of charm and character with a fully functioning kitchen and beautiful terrace to enjoy the warm evenings. It's located perfectly with everything in walking distance. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you Elio, we hope to see you again some day.

The host allowed us in in the morning and took us for a wee walking tour of the centre. The flat is in the very centre and just opposite the pharmacy and the doctors, which we unfortunately had to use. Both a fan and ac available but we didn’t feel the need of using them. Host available for any questions and very kind.

Marettimo is a real gem! Apartment is really nice - sort of sweet old fashioned grandma style - and well equipped. You can hear everything from the outside, but it is esy to get used to. Location - fantastic.
