This was a wonderful place to stay in Marco de Canaveses. Our room was large and comfortable, almost the size of an apartment. The pool was refreshing, and offered a lovely view of the river. We also had a phenomenal dinner there - Paulo Damotta, the chef, is a real talent in the kitchen. But what made our stay truly phenomenal was the attention of Fatima. We had lost something and she was wonderfully helpful in helping us try to find it (by calling people and explaining things in Portuguese). She is a generous spirit, and a most welcoming presence at Casa da Ribeira. I would give this place 11 stars out of 10!

Very comfortable place, staff was very polite and accommodating. House is beautiful and overall stay offered an amazing experience. Took me some time to find the entrance, but that gave me a chance to explore the grounds. 10/10.

Excellent location with a really nice view to the river. Rooms very clean and well decorated - some of the things where a bit outdated in terms of style (like bathrooms) but very clean and well maintaned.
