La bacaia We have travelled Tuscany for our honeymoon, we stopped at La Bacaia for 3 nights for a moment of relaxation and it delivered. Unfortunately Allesia was unwell on our arrival but we received a very warm welcome from her son. Allesia was very responsive to messages throughout. La Bacaia is Set back off the road, with views of the Tuscan country side. La Bacaia is in a very peaceful setting. The villa itself is beautifully decorated and provides everything you need. We based ourselves in the downstairs quarter which had a stunning entrance hall, the downstairs accommodation has 3 beautifully comfortable bedrooms, we utilised the one with the doors to the outside by the pool. With two kitchenettes one in the upper which you access from outside stair case. and one outside in a separate annex. We only used the outside kitchen for ease, so did not utilise the upper quarter but did explore and found it to be very lovely, with the option to purchase for €10 a bottle of olive oil which we did and it was perfect for all our meals. The outside kitchenette also accompanied by a stone pizza over and bbq which we made great use of, was a perfect addition to cosy evenings and tasty meals cooking local sourced products, Beautifully wrapped with grape vines. The outdoor kitchen included an ice machine which was perfect for the warm evening. The only issue we had was we couldn’t work out how to turn on the dishwasher but no problem as only two of us washing up was a quick task. The garden area is beautiful with a lovely seating area under the tree’s with lights for the evening, the pool was lovely and refreshing in the warm sun and the perfect place to dive in a book. There was even a little visitor of a black cat in the evenings that just sat peacefully curled up on one of the chairs. We have had a beautiful stay at La Bacaia as part of our honeymoon trip across Tuscany with easy access to supermarkets and local shops. The setting is beautifully relaxing.

We loved every minute at La Baccaia! The rooms were clean and beautiful, but we spent most of our time in the outdoor kitchen and the garden. One highlight for us was the pizza oven, which worked perfectly. There are also a couple of really nice restaurants in the surrounding villages, some of which you can easily reach by foot. Alessia, the lovely host, gave us some really good restaurant recommendations and she always helped out when there was a little problem or a question.
