The secluded and quiet location, the wide open space. The view overlooking the lake, the dark sky.

The location by the river is stunning; kangaroos visited the site too. The wombats were illusive, one glimpse returning late at night as we faced each other before it retreated into its burrow. We watched raptors overhead and pelicans on the river. The tent is beautiful inside; the bed sumptuous. The breakfast was delicious; local products and a full cooked breakfast on the hot plate outside. Hash browns were a bonus! The shower was hot too. It’s close to Mannum to pop into town. We enjoyed both scenic drives and the free ferry service crossing back and forth as far as Swan reach. The provided maps and guides were very useful. We managed to star gaze both on site and through Juggle House at Walker Flat. Louise met us and chatted through the tent facilities; even kindly offered us use of their pool. There was a keypad gate to keep the site secure; 3 tents and the host’s property. The sunsets were beautiful. We would highly recommend staying. The complimentary wine was delicious- thank you! The telescope and binoculars are a bonus. The air conditioning and heaters worked well; timed cut off system. The TV had good reception; WiFi was strong too.
