Madpackers Manali Hostel was an amazing place to stay — vibrant, clean, and full of positive energy. The track to get there was a bit tough but once we had arrived the location was stunning. It has magnificent views of the mountains. Once we had learned some of the short cuts out of the back gate it was easy to walk through the Apple orchards to get everywhere. Because you are off the main road you are almost part of the village of old Manali and can see and interact with village life. We stayed upstairs and our room was actually warm which was handy as it was cold in November. We met and made friends with lots of younger Indians most who were there working online. They were all pretty quiet, but absolutely lovely to interact with. We also liked the quietly spoken manager Hussein
