The fine print
Self Check-In, Starts at 2pm
If the front office is closed when you arrive, we will leave a check-in packet for you on the bulletin board at the entrance of the lobby. Everything you need to locate and access your room will be in the envelope with your first initial / last name on it.Please be sure to check for road closures during winter months. Highway 120 (Tioga Pass) typically closes from late October until late May. When the Tioga Road is closed, it is not possible to drive to Tuolumne Meadows or enter Yosemite National Park from the east. All other park entrances, including those along Highway 120 from the west, Hetch Hetchy, Highway 140, and Highway 41, remain open all year.Please note: This year, the Tioga Pass will be closed until late June.

The property is very dated (smelt musty on arrival) and overpriced for what is it. Being a weekend it seemed fully booked as it is possibly one the cheapest places to stay in Mammoth! Which I guess contributed to there being no hot water for our showers in the morning despite being up early (management/owners are aware it’s a problem but apparently it’s too hard to fix). And very noisy as the walls in the units have no soundproofing. Wifi was average and clearly they had run out of linen or couldn’t be bothered to find another Queen sheet for one of the beds as housekeeping had used a single bed sheet for the top sheet. It was within walking distance to the Village and gondola which was great.

The location is awesome - easy 10 minute walk to the village and 10-15 minute walk to many restaurants. There are (free) bus stops almost directly at the hotel. The room in the hotel was fine. The gas heater is controlled via a thermostat. The bed was comfortable and had multiple bathroom amenities. The outdoor hot tub is nice.
