The Old Lodge is a beautiful place set in acres of lush green countryside. Car parking is ample, friendly staff, rooms clean and comfortable, and the food is excellent. If you like olde world charm, this place has everything. There is no shortage of things to do in Malton, with a great concert venue in The Milton Rooms.

We loved the historic old building and had been there for a family function several years ago but hadn’t stayed. The rooms were large and the beds comfy. The staff were welcoming when we turned up early, they said our rooms were ready and let us check in. Breakfast was made to order so the food was freshly cooked and hot. Although we did not have an evening meal there the menu looked appealing.

Lovely gardens, we had a downstairs garden room which had a lovely sitting space that faced onto the gardens. Staff seemed very friendly and helpful. The hotel bar has a good atmosphere. It is an easy walk down the hill into the centre of Malton.
