The staff very welcoming even if we got to the cottage 5 hours before check in, the sea just next to beach, the rooms clean and secruity good. We were also allowed to check out on our time that was very good of the staff. Yes i reccommd the cottage.

I enjoyed my stay at Diwani Cottage, which sits at Silver sands beach right at the seafront. I was received warmly by Barack and Fondo, and even though I arrived earlier than the check in time, I was well taken care of, as I waited to check in. Fondo was friendly, kind and helpful, he does a great job of taking care of the guests as well as the place. I was happy that the room had AC and a fan and that they both worked fine.

Overall it was a good experience, save for the first impression that didn't go so well. There was a confusion on what rooms we had booked, so we had to wait for close to two hours in the night for staff to be located to set up the correct ones. Lesson here is to insist on another means of communication other than the messaging feature on Booking. The phone shared here doesn't work. On the positive side, Fondo was very apologetic and took care of us through the weekend, including recommending a great chef and boat experience. The cottages are located at a nice beach and the location gives you access to many places via tuktuks and bodas that are always at the entrance. The kitchen is very well stocked with dishes and cutlery, but we had to clean them again before using them the first time. I would definitely recommend Diwani for couples and families (including an extended one like we did this time).
