Romy “Underwhelming rooms, saved by superb location”

The location is the biggest and potentially only real selling point of this apartment. The room we originally booked was underwhelming; it was very basic and bordering on unloved (I don’t mind functional/utilitarian but this felt like it was the least effort someone could put into an apartment and get away with it). For example there was a picture frame on the wall with no picture inside. There were no toiletries in the bathroom. The furnishings included cheap IKEA furniture with very limited to no decorations. There was a patch of mould on the wall which was not featured in the photos. We messaged the owner on the first night to ask whether we could change rooms because of this. The owner was responsive and allowed us to change rooms which we were grateful for. It was a slightly bigger room/studio with more amenities and some toiletries left over from previous guests. Not outstanding but workable and pleasant in the end. The plus is the rooms were quiet, and the AC worked well. The Wi-Fi was a little patchy but functional (although frustrating at times). For the price I would not say it is very good value and the experience I doubt will be one of the better Airbnb/apartments you have stayed in but it served its purpose and was very central.

Excellent position harbourside building. Lovely room with kitchenette and sofa. Triple aspect with great bathroom. Owners very helpful and easily contacted.

Very nice apartment, clean, cosy and comfortable. Central position, close to the turistic harbour. Plenty of restaurants in the surroundings. Very kind staff: prompt answers and great flexibility.
