The food was really good. The room was clean and shower was good (if compact - no room for shelves to accommodate shower gels etc). Staff were also very good, polite and friendly.

What stands out most is the staff. Peter was thoughtful and kind, and he made everything easy for us. We were traveling with a motorhome, and he helped arrange the parking without any hassle.

Everything to like if you want a lovely, old, authentic country pub offering a comfortable stay after a walk or tour in the Dales. Fabulous freshly cooked pub food. Lovely room. Great and friendly service.

This is a traditional good pub run by a landlord and landlady who take personal pride in the good service they provide. In a lovely location it has good accommodation at a reasonable cost and excellent food
