The fine print
From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. A surcharge of 10 MYR applies for arrivals after 10 pm. All requests for late arrival are subject to confirmation by the property.
Please note that a 2.5% bank charge will be applied to all the guests who use the credit card. This fee will be collected upon arrival.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.
Payment before arrival via bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions.
This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties.

Though short, I had a lovely stay. My bus was very delayed getting into Melaka and I was a bit worried reception would be closed. The communication was excellent however as within minutes of messaging I was reassured and provided with all the information necessary to get into my room safe and sound. It was a real treat as a solo traveler to have a room all to myself considering the very reasonable price. Had everything you needed; comfy bed, desk and AC. My main reason for being in Melaka was to explore the town so it suited me perfectly as I was only sleeping there really. In addition to this, the location made my exploring very easy as it was so close to everything I wanted to see & do. The kitchen is equipped with refillable water, tea & coffee and a big table to eat or do work at. Upon check out I was also allowed to leave my bags there free of charge. Overall an excellent experience.

Clean, well run backpacker hotel just outside the centre. Nothing spoecial. But also nothing wrong either and very comfortable. So excellent value for the price bracket.
