Breakfast was delightful - delicious homemade food and drinks, presented beautifully in a stylish dining room. Room is spacious, elegant furniture and decor. A beautiful garden to lose all sense of time in. Very gracious hostess. Maintenon is a charming village, lots to do and only one hour south of Paris.

Madame serves up a fantastic breakfast. As a cyclist, she was very kind in giving me some croissants for my journey to Paris. She also was kind in giving me a beer on arrival. I highly recommend a stay here. The town has an amazing chateau and aqueduct......well worth a visit.....a little hidden gem....

Carmen and José are excellent hosts, in a stunning and stylish property in a quiet cul-de-sac right in the centre of town — and don't miss the nearby bijou château built by Louis XIV's mistress, who then became his secret second wife! Our hosts' English is good enough to converse freely with my partner, who has no French. The room was tastefully furnished, as they are both retired haute-couturiers from Paris — do ask to see José's workshop, and his portfolio which includes the headdress for Kylie Minogue's "Showgirl" tour! Breakfast was more than ample with a wide selection of tastefully presented fare, with homemade croissants and bread from Madame, and freshly-pressed orange juice from Monsieur. Such a friendly welcome, and we were sad to leave — 100% all round.

The breakfast was excellent but far too large. We only have small appetites. I would definitely recommend this guesthouse to people wanting to explore this part of France. We attended a wedding and the location was perfect for us
