The house faces the coast with Faial in the distance, the view is very beautiful and can have lovely sunsets. We had a very warm welcome and communication was very good before arrival. The hosts were flexible with our arrival time and let us store or things and offered us breakfast since we came in the morning. The owners have taken pride in their build, there are many natural materials and even some furniture items are self made. There is a yoga room and a terrace where you can have breakfast, which is varied and fresh. You can hire kayaks and bikes for an extra charge.

WOW Mona who runs this place is an outstanding host. She was super helpful and nice to chat with. She and her partner helped us book whale watching even though the weather was tricky and few boats went out during our stay. The location is perfect - walking distance to central Madalena but several good restaurants nearby. The view of the ocean and (weather permitting) Faial was gorgeous. We spent some time each day with a cup of tea just enjoying the view from the main lounge. So happy we booked this place rather than a more central one! Plenty space to park the car. Good value!

Grear location, amazing views, kind hosts. The only issue we had was the wifi that did not work in our room, and rooms were Little bit chilly (early April), however additional blankets were availble.
