The village that time forgot, what a lovely warm friendly boozer. Great ales, traditional pub grub all homemade. Filling breakfast. This pub just does how pubs should be, Mike should run a course on how to make British pubs work. He and his wonderful wife make everyone fill welcome and included. The customers are a lovely group of people. Don't forget the delightful Steam Railway 200 yards up the road.

Lovely cosy pub with lovely rooms. Very friendly and welcoming staff and welcoming locals. Big shout out to Mike, Claire and Dave, such lovely people. Breakfast was delicious and the area is just breathtaking. We will definitely be back.

Chose the Slaters after a cycle route I had planned didn't have any cycle storage facilities so had to change my plans which wasn't ideal, HOWEVER, it meant that booked into the Slaters for a night as Mike said I could keep the bike inside and what a little gem of a find the Slaters was! Such a nice place and Mike the landlord was really friendly and helpful. My room was great, really nice and a lovely comfy bed and a great shower after a long day in the saddle. Evening meal of steak and ale pie, chips and peas served in a large Yorkshire pudding was absolute class 👌 Tried my first ever pint of Jeremy Clarkson's Hawkstone Premier lager which was really nice and a cracking breakfast. All in all, very happy with my stay and I am sure I will stay there again at some point. Mike, if you read this, my GoPro wiped all the files on my little camera for some reason so no YouTube review of Hawkstone lager I'm afraid, oh well, just means another visit 😁 Thanks for everything and see you again sometime 👍

Fresh and clean room and bathroom. Beautiful toiletries and great tea and coffee making facilities. Staff welcoming and friendly. We are an evening meal in the restaurant which was excellent as was the breakfast. All in all an excellent stay. Thank you! Also an added bonus of electric charging point for the car too.

Land lord was brilliant. Took the time to speak with us and make us feel welcome. Very tight nit community everyone was so nice to us. We spent the evening drinking in the bar with the locals. Was a great night.

The breakfasts were included and very generous traditional welsh breakfast. The bar downstairs was busy on the Friday and Saturday night, but the landlord made sure the bar was closed by 11:15 at the latest. The room and en suite bathroom were clean and well decorated. USB sockets with all the plug sockets. No noise from outside or the adjacent rooms.

lovely place, welcoming hosts and friendly customers. The food was lovely and home cooked! nice big room and big shower . Its right by Corris steam railway too so an ideal place to stay for that too.!
