Hostal is located very near the square and bus station to Machu Picchu and many restaurants nearby. The boss of the Hostal picked us from the train station to hostal.

The owner went out of his way to ensure that we had a nice stay. He waited for us at the exit of the train station to prevent us from getting lost when we arrived. Upon request, he prepared us a boxed breakfast which we could take to Machu Picchu.

Great stay in Amakonkay. We were collected from the train and walked to the hostel which was very kind. We had to leave before breakfast hours for our tour so they provided us eith a breakfast bag the night before to bring with us. Very kind and thoughtful. Location was perfect. Would highly recommend.

The owner is the sweetest host, he's friendly, helpful and made us a great breakfast (bread, eggs, avo, cheese, fruits etc) even if we had an early departure for Machu Picchu. He also gave us a lovely gift! The twin room was bigger than we thought, basic but very clean, very comfortable beds. The hostel is 1-2min walk to the main square (where we met our guide) and the bus stop for Machu P. You can store your luggage while you're on the excursion. Very happy we came in March as it's not crazy busy yet.

The staff is charming, especially Edilberto who makes the breakfast very delicious and helped us with various things and information, the room was clean and beautiful, the bathroom had everything we needed and most importantly the hot shower, the location was close to the square, the wifi worked perfect, we were satisfied and happy with all the service provided.

I loved my stay, the location was perfect, minutes from the main square. Despite being in the center, the room was quiet, ideal for a rest, everything was clean and well kept, with a comfortable bed and the staff was friendly and attentive at all times, they helped us with our tickets and the professional guide, for the wonder.

The staff was super attentive and friendly, the location was close to the square, the room was clean and comfortable with a large bed, good Wi-Fi connection, I was able to work without problems, the breakfast was delicious and varied.

The host kindly met us at the train station for the short walk back to the accommodation. Very comfortable beds in the family room. We had a very early start for Machu Picchu and the host kindly made us a substantial packed breakfast each to take with us. He also allowed us to leave some baggage whilst we undertook our trip up the hill to collect after usual check out time. Good advice about local dining also. Very happy with our family stay.
