Staying here was such a unique experience and the highlight of our stay in Egypt. This is a boutique hotel that is owned and managed by a Family in the West bank. The architecture of the space when we got in was mind blowing, and the views from the terrace of the desert and the mountain was extremely beautiful. We felt very at peace, in a quiet environment in the village, with fresh air and away from the city noise of the East Bank. We ate freshly made Egyptian food for breakfast and dinner everyday by their chef who was an absolutely great cook. Breakfast with a view of the sunrise behind the mountains and dinner with a view of the sunset behind the mountains was surreal. Ali, our host was the most helpful host I have had. He checked in multiple times to make sure we are very comfortable and helped us book and manage all of our trip and itinerary to Luxor. He had great recommendations, got us the best tour guides, driver, etc at great cost. Our tour guide was super knowledgeable about many times, and our driver Hamdi was very patient. Ali made us feel at home. His little nephew Yessir, who became my friend was absolutely brilliant as well. For his young age, he was very mature, knew how to attend to guest properly and was super helpful during our stay. I met a lot of the family in the next compound and they were all super welcoming. I and the boys played football and spent some time gisting despite the language barrier which was a big highlight for me. We initially booked two nights and ended up staying for four nights. Staying here definitely made our trip in Luxor a lot better and I absolutely recommend it for anyone who likes a calm country side / village vibe that is peaceful, close to all the major attractions, and away from the hustle and bubble of the city life, with homemade Egyptian food, and a breathtaking view of the mountains.

Everything was great, the food, the staff, Ali the host arranged every activity, our guide Mohammed, our great driver Hassan and helped us explore the village. The location is magic, a quiet but lively place on the edge of the desert.

Our host was unbelievable. He took care of us from the second we arrived in the country by arranging a driver to be with us for the entire trip. We we arrived at the property he helped us figure out how to make the most of our time base on our needs and desires. He recommended timings and made us feel very special. We ate breakfast and dinner each night. We were never disappointed. The food was delicious and the staff was kind and accommodating. We particularly loved the view on the rooftop and the evenings spent up there were some of the memorable parts of our time in Luxor.

We rented the 3 room apartment as a family of 5. It is spacious, cool and beautiful - think coloured glass and vaulted ceilings in the style of upper Egypt. The setting is peaceful and you can walk in the evening around Medinet Habu. Best of all, Ali, Ahmed and his team are so welcoming. Dinner on the rooftop terrace watching the sunset was a highlight. Easy access to the tombs on the West Bank as well.
