Beautiful small historic chateau & winery. Comfortable & well equipped. Everything worked, but not over-restored. Ann & Jean-Christophe were lovely hosts.

Chateau de Pintray is a beautiful original Chateau in rural surroundings close to Amboise and surrounded by vineyards. Run by the owners Anne and Jean-Christophe the winemaker. We were made very welcome and enjoyed the free wine tasting. The wines which are supplied to local restaurants and also exported to Belgium are all excellent and well worth buying. I enjoyed talking with Jean-Christophe’s father who planted the vineyard over 30 years ago. Excellent local restaurant recommendation from Anne. Breakfast was superb. It was a pleasure to stay at a family run working vineyard. We would definitely stay here again.
