Very nice and clean freshly renovated room. Location is perfect, basically attached to the Lugo Muralla and couple minutes of walking away from Lugo cathedral. A lot of cafes and restaurants nearby. Staff was also very nice and welcoming.

Central location inside the wall. Very clean. While host not always available in person, he reacts quickly to messages via booking.com or WhatsApp. Good recommendations for places to eat - thanks Pedro! Plenty of bars and eating opportunities close by

I’ve stayed at many amazing places for the Camino Primitivo but ALBA Lugo somehow edged into my list of top 3 which was surprising! It’s easily located in Lugo, and Pedro provided perfect service, making check in a breeze, providing a bunch of spot on recommendations for meals and things to do, and even bringing a hairdryer directly to my room when I asked to borrow one from the hotel. The room was also amazing - the window opens directly over the Lugo fortress wall so you have a clear view of it and of everyone walking by. If you need privacy you can lower the blinds. Two more things deserve a special mention: the bed and the shower. This bed was seriously THE most comfortable bed I ever slept in on the Camino (I sat down and didn’t intend to but somehow fell into a solid mid afternoon nap). The shower has really strong and easily adjustable hot water which is a luxury on the trail. The nice thing is I’m quite petite and the shower also allowed me to adjust the HEIGHT of the shower head which I have never encountered in any other hotel / hostel I’ve stayed at. I can’t explain how grateful I was to not have to find somewhere to put the shower head while I soaped up! Anyways if I could give this a 6 out of 5 stars I would. 100% recommend ALBA without hesitation. Just to note though, the hostel doesn’t have its own Camino stamp as it’s near so many other places that have it so alas I don’t have a stamp in my credential to commemorate the stay.

A fabulous little hotel. Right beside the Roman walls amongst restaurants and shops. Location fantastic. The room was beautifully designed and finished. For a solo traveller you could not get much better. Super comfy and clean Checking was so simple. In fact everything was great.
