We stayed in the family room in early June with 2 teenage girls for 4 nights. We must say Santo has the most beautiful and natural environment. It seems hardly touched by the western world. Few tourists that we saw made the experience more authentic surreal. Matevulu Lodge is set a tranquil and quite location with only a 20 minute taxi ride from Lagunville. The host Gaelle is excellent. Very knowledgeable and helpful with every aspect from planning local trips and arranging driver's on your behalf. The Mount Hope Waterfall tour was one of our adventure highlights and a must do. The 2 nearby blue lagoons are easily accessible via walking or taking the lodges kayak. On the way you see the unbelievable nature that Santo displays and meet locals who are very friendly and welcoming. We loved our stay at Matevulu Lodge. It is suitable for both adventure lovers or those that just wish to take it easy, which we did both. What a wonderful and memorable stay we had. Without hesitation we absolutely recommend Matevulu lodge. Thank you so much Gaelle for everything you did. We would love to return to your hidden gem of a lodge. Michelle, the girls and I will forever remember our family stay here and are very grateful for your outstanding hosting and patience. Thank you and we wish you nothing but success as we are sure once the word is further spreads, Matevulu Lodge is the place to stay in Santo.

Matevulu Lodge is the best place you can book in Santo. The place is stunning, quiet, your little bungalow is super comfy. Its right in front of the ocean, the water is calm, warm, you will see the sunrise every morning. You can go to all the blue holes by kayak/paddleboarding. The kitchen is fully equipped and perfect to avoid to eat at the restaurant for all your holidays. But the best… the best is the host!!!! Gaelle helped me beyond any possible expectations I could have. She let me borrow one of her swimsuit cause I forgot mine, she helped me book every activities on the island, every cab. She even helped my friend and found her a new accommodation in less than 30mn. She helped me when my vehicle had an issue, she helped me when I broke her shower (sorry again), she even helped me during a big issue with AirVanuatu. Guys, Gaelle could have solved my whole life better than me. And in addition, she does it always with a smile and in a genuine way. She is definitely the best host Ive ever met in my life. Thanks again for making my trip so amazing Gaelle, no chance I will travel to Vanuatu again without staying in your lovely Lodge.

Lovely eco-lodge right on the sea front. Wonderful atmosphere. Well serviced with complementary kayak and snorkelling equipment. Excellent staff, Gaelle was really helpful and checked on her residents every day.
