Our first impressions on arrival in the flat were - "Wow!" The entire flat was spotlessly clean and there were nice welcoming touches of milk, fresh juice and shortbreads, as well as excellent fresh ground coffee and looseleaf tea. The decor throughout the flat is stunning - luxurious, yet simple; furniture and fittings that create a real sense of a style vision yet homely and comfortable; contemporary with Scandinavian elements and lovely use of natural materials. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we both slept very well. Everything worked brilliantly and the lighting options enabled different moods for different times of day. We simply loved it! We took advantage of eating and drinking (including our complimentary coffee each day) in the cafe below. The presentation and quality of the food were excellent, the coffee delicious, the service welcoming and friendly. We also visited the lovely garden one night after the cafe had closed, with a glass of wine in hand and the chatter of birds for company. So restful! The location of the flat could not have been better, being a few minutes' walk away from the major points of interest in charming Ludlow. Yet the flat was quiet, enabling us to really relax and enjoy our break. Though we spent our time in and around Ludlow itself, I would imagine the flat would make an ideal base for wider exploration of the gorgeous countryside around the town. Maybe next time! I cannot recommend this place (and its owners and staff) highly enough.

Breakfast is an extra in the cafe below the apartment,owned by the same family. The full English was exceptional and good value.
