The hotel staff (both at reception and in the restaurant) were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and homely, and the location was ideal: a short walking distance to the historic city centre but quiet/undisturbed.

Rooms were superb and nothing was too much trouble. (Eg I wanted single duvets instead of one large one and these were immediately provided). The staff were welcoming and helpful. Also the restaurant was very good and had a lovely ambiance. The Christmas decorations were tasteful and added to the warmth of the hotel.
