The lady met me on arrival and departure, very helpful and friendly. The flat has heating which was fairly quick to come on and heat the apartment. It was very quiet, the only noise being when others entered or left the building but this was minimal. The location is excellent, inside the walls and close to pretty much anything you might want to see and do while in Lucca. The station is only a 15 minute walk and there are plenty of regular trains going to various areas of Tuscany and beyond, check the times the day before as some of them have a 2 hour gap around lunch time. There is a cafe / bar next door for breakfast and lunch, so you can get a coffee ect. straight away if you like, note that it was closed on an evening.

The location was great and the host met us at the entrance with the keys. The room was very spacious and clean and tidy.

Inside the city wall and close to the train station, near the Duomo, Sonia's place is a shortish walk to everywhere within the walls, cafe outside front door. Sonia's recommendations for eating out were spot on. Lucca is the jewel of the area slow paced without the big crowds other major centres have.
