The property is in a quiet street in the old city, but is also close a variety of restaurants and shops and access to the wall surrounding the city. It is on the second floor and 0ur room was really bright and airy, with access to a delightful, shared terrace. Breakfast was what I would call extensive continental, with a variety of offerings. Our host, Gian-Paolo, varied what was on offer each day by sourcing local, Lucca specialities. Gian-Paolo was friendly, welcoming and interesting to talk to, He was not intrusive, but was a valuable source of advice.

Great stay at Apartment Corte Toro in Lucca! The host was very kind and welcoming, the rooms were spacious and clean, and the location right in the city center is perfect. Although the check-in time was untill 8 PM, the owner kindly let us in at 9 PM. Also, don’t pay too much attention to older reviews — it’s under a different owner now and clearly much improved. Highly recommend!

The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely with homemade cakes and biscuits appearing each morning along with fruit, yoghurt and warm pastries. The location was outstanding and our host was very helpful, welcoming and very willing to ensure our stay was comfortable. It was a great place to stay..
