The hotel has been sympathetically modernised and maintains the charm and character of the building which was built in 1216. The quality is evident and the staff feel more like hosts.

I cannot speak too highly of this place. It is furnished to a high standard, very comfortable, a few minutes walk from Marienkirche and the centre of Lubeck, and serves a delicious great value continental breakfast. Most of all I have to praise the staff who are so kind and helpful. I was visiting Lubeck to research my family history and the staff here really went above and beyond with advice and assistance in translating documents. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!
