The location. Damson Gyhll is located in a picture perfect landscape within walking distance of both hills and lakes. The warm welcome, Jan's excellent breakfasts and award winning marmalades, and Les's knowledgable walking recommendations. The garden, the view ... and the local pubs.

Our hosts were very hospitable and helful. They were really nice people. Breakfast was lovely and on demand. We got good walking and hiking tips. The fells are accessible, Crummock lake is at an easy walking distance, there are lovely inns nearby. It's highly recommended. Love to go again.
