After a difficult year, we decided to splash out on a memorable holiday with our family. We spent an idyllic week at Somerleyton celebrating our Golden Wedding anniversary with our two sons, daughter-in-law and two young grandchildren. The location is a perfect base for local sightseeing and exploring the coast and has the advantage of several pleasant pubs nearby for eating out. The house is gorgeous; spacious, comfortable and welcoming; every room sympathetically maintained with lovely decor throughout, complimentary to the building’s Georgian history. It is admirably well-equipped with everything necessary, plus much more, for a perfect stay. The young ones were enthralled to discover a store of games, a pool table, a tree swing & a croquet lawn already set up! The weather was kind at the end of August, so we were able to make good use of the beautiful outdoor areas. We cannot recommend this lovely house highly enough; thank you, Stuart and Amanda.
