⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “The House With the Spinning Couch” – A Perfect Louisburgh Escape From the moment we travelled along the Atlantic coastal route towards this beautiful cottage, we knew we were arriving somewhere special. The approach alone feels like a postcard — open skies, fresh ocean air, and the peaceful charm of Louisburgh stretching out ahead. When we reached the property, we were greeted with the loveliest touch: a dew-drop morning welcome with a warm cup of coffee enjoyed out on the lawn. It immediately set the tone for our stay — calm, refreshing, and deeply comforting. Inside, the house exceeded all expectations: • Immaculate bedrooms • Spotless, modern bathrooms • A super-warm home thanks to the state-of-the-art heating system Our children absolutely adored what they named “the spinning couch” in the living room — a playful, fun highlight that kept them entertained. The lounge itself is beautifully cosy, with a real Irish peat fire that filled our evenings with warmth and authenticity. Fresh peat was delivered every evening, which was a thoughtful and uniquely Irish touch we truly appreciated. The location is outstanding. Only a short distance from Croagh Patrick, stunning beaches, and historical sites, the area around Louisburgh is rich in culture, folklore, and natural beauty. It’s a perfect place to unwind, explore, and enjoy the slower rhythm of the West of Ireland. Privacy and security were excellent — the cottage feels peaceful, safe, and tucked into nature, giving you complete comfort and space for your family. What also made this stay unforgettable was the deep sense of Irish hospitality. Ireland’s history has shaped a people known for resilience, warmth, and generosity, and you feel that legacy in every interaction. Even as Ireland continues modern nation-building, the spirit remains unchanged: kindness, independence, and a love of freedom.

Very cute little cottage in a very good location. Nice little walk to the beach and into the village in the other direction. Good little supermarket in the village. Cosy inside and great that we could take our wee dog. Super location, close to Croagh Patrick

It is a very cozy cottage and really quiet. The rooms are all very comfortable and the fireplace was really nice. Beach is very close and not many people there.
