Security of apartment/premises and parking was good, however area had a high crime rate.

The apartment was cheaper than other locations (which should have been a red flag). It was modern, built fairly recently compared to other properties and well equipped. It was close to Crypto arena for the basketball and not far for the LA Dodgers stadium. Close to the freeway made it fairly easy to get around, even with LA's famous congestion.
