We arrived by night, into a courtyard which was well lit, with the backdrop of the building. It was an old coach and stable loving restored and converted into bedrooms upstairs and the kitchen, dining and sitting room downstairs. Spacious, clean, old, modern, a home from home.

Matt was an excellent host, warm, attentive, and incredibly welcoming. He made the whole stay feel relaxed and personal, checking in without ever being intrusive. His friendly manner and attention to detail really added to the experience. The accommodation was spotless throughout. The bedroom, private bathroom, and all shared areas were fresh, well presented, and clearly maintained to a very high standard. The facilities were excellent. My room was comfortable with a private bathroom, free WiFi that worked well, and thoughtful touches that made the space feel homely. The property also offered convenient, free on‑site private parking and luggage storage, which made travelling much easier. Everything was laid out with guests in mind. I slept very well. The bed was comfortable, the room temperature was just right, and the surroundings were quiet. The peaceful setting and cosy accommodation made for a restful night. Breakfast was superb. There was plenty of choice, and the quality was excellent. Matt was happy to offer more if I wanted it, and the service was friendly and relaxed. It was a lovely way to start day. Without hesitation I would stay again. Augherea House offers comfort, great hospitality, and excellent value. I’d be more than happy to return.

Everything about this stay was excellent 👌 A beautiful building. It was warm, clean, spacious, quiet, and scenic. Matt the owner left no stone unturned. He was an excellent host and provided an 👌 breakfast. A lovely overnight stay was had.
